BMO Half & Full Marathon with IF

On Sunday May 4th, members and coaches from Innovative Fitness Kits & Four Seasons tackled the BMO half & full Marathon.  Despite the torrential rain, we woke up bright and early for a 7am start to experience the beautiful city of Vancouver.  The marathon headed down 49th street, around the beautiful campus of UBC and along Spanish Banks and Jericho Beach.  The half marathon explored the Cambie St. corridor and winded through Chinatown and Yaletown, where the two routes joined up along English Bay to finish with a lap of Stanley Park.  There were many distractions for runners to enjoy – support from local businesses, raving fans, friends & family, motivational signs, live music & radio stations, as well as hundreds of awesome volunteers handing out drinks and gels to keep the runners going. Innovative Fitness members rocked this run, many achieving personal bests, while others experienced it for their first time ever:

Besides these record breaking personal bests and first-timers, we would also like to thank the coaches and IF members who came out to support the team during the event and at the wrap up brunch at the beach. A HUGE shout out to Natasha Wodak, Nicholas Lung, and Michael Milosciewicz, who led the BMO weekly running clinics to ensure that participants felt ready for race day. Thank you for taking the time to prepare us. Fantastic work team!
