Length of time at Innovative Fitness

One and a half years.

Why do you CHALLENGE yourself physically?

I have NEVER been athletic in my life. I came to a realization that I needed to be active now in order to stay healthy for the long term. When I started with IF, I could not have been weaker, physically. I literally started at the bottom of the totem pole. I chose to take each session as just that, one session at a time. Otherwise I would never had made it. Slowly, I started to get stronger and fitter. While I will never be a super athlete, I can see small improvements in mind, body and soul, every month and I refuse to miss a session.

What is your biggest ADVERSITY surrounding your fitness and what do you do to overcome it?

After 6 months at IF, I found out that my cancer had metastasized to my bones, liver and lungs. It was a huge blow considering that I had never felt healthier or stronger in my life. One thing that became apparent quickly was that my time at IF was a major part of my treatment plan. Each session allows me the time to clear any negative cancer energy and focus on the positivity of strengthening my body. Training helps me stay focused and determined to maintain the most important thing – my drive for life.

What has been your biggest VICTORY at Innovative Fitness?

It’s simple. The fact that I have remained committed to my program and to optimizing my body in the fight against cancer. There is no question in my mind that my training sessions have been paramount in keeping cancer in check. I have managed to stabilize my disease by starving cancer through exercise and living a healthy lifestyle.

What advice would you give someone thinking of starting a fitness program?

Absolutely DO it. It will change your life for the better. The results will take some time but once you start to see them, the change is phenomenal and empowering. IF has been the most amazing experience, even for me, the most unfit person who has ever lived. Commit to it and the rewards will be abundant.
